# Consolidated invoice

A single invoice that combines several orders, shipments or billing periods for one customer, instead of billing each separately.

Consolidated billing reduces the number of documents a customer's AP team handles, which can speed up approval. It's common for high-volume customers and recurring services.

The trade-off is that one disputed line can hold up the whole invoice, and payments against consolidated invoices are harder to match when the customer pays only part of it.
